Subject: Brain Korea (BK)Scholarship Program for graduate study in South Korea There is an opening for Brain Korea Scholarship for a Ph.D. program with the following research focus areas: Computer Architecture (Advisor: Prof. Jeong-A Lee, Email: ) ? High-performance computer architecture, Configurable Computing, Approximate Computing ? Embedded System Design, Fault-tolerant/Reliable Computing, CORDIC processor and applications If you want to be considered for the admission for the fall semester of 2016, you need to contact me by Friday, May 20, 2016. Otherwise, contact me with your materials since we have positions for 5 year BK program.

Other Criteria

To qualify for this competitive scholarship, applicants must meet the following requirements: 1. Hold a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree as of September 1, 2016. 2. Important Requirements: Official English Score(IELTS) should be 6.5 or higher Applicants must maintain a grade point average (G.P.A.) of at least 3.0 on a 4.0 scale, 3.3 on a 4.3 scale, 3.5 on a 4.5 scale, or grades/marks/score of 85% or higher from the previously attended institution. If the transcript is not indicated in grades/marks/scores format, or is difficult to convert into percentages, attachment of official explanation from the attended institution is required.

Listed below are some features of the BK Scholarship and the expected benefits of the program for successful applicants: ? 50% Tuition fees during a Ph.D. program ? Additional 30% Tuition fees can be secured from Chosun University (mostly by a high CGPA and high Score of official English Test like IELTS when application submitted for admission) ? Monthly Stipend of 1,000,000 won(KRW) (before tax) ? Incentive based on recognized journal publication Application Procedure: Interested applicants should send the following things to 1) Study plan (clearly stating the research topics you are interested in) 2) Academic transcripts 3) Brief summary of most recent thesis and the status (eg accepted, in progress, submitted, etc) 4) CV (to include names, birth date, nationality, sex, contact details, education, work experience, publications) 5) Copy of official English score (TOEFL or IELTS score should be submitted)
